Household Accounts
What is a “household” account?
The adoption of household accounts was a change from Fall 2011 that now groups your multiple Pilot Flying J Professional Driver loyalty cards together so that points, shower credits, and coffee club balances are all shared among your various cards registered under the same phone number.
|
I have several Pilot and/or Flying J cards, will this change affect me?
Probably. Cards that have been associated together either by registering them under the same phone number or by transferring points between them, will be put in a single “household”. All points on all the cards in the household will be added together into one lump sum that all the cards will reflect. Shower credits and coffee club balances will be summed in the same manner. Earning and redeeming points, shower credits, and coffee club credits on one of these cards will then be reflected on all cards in the household because they all now share this information. For example, if you have two cards, one with 50 points and one with 100 points, both cards will start reflecting a balance of 150 points, and then redeeming 25 points from one card will result in both cards reflecting a balance of 125 points.

I only have one Professional Driver Pilot Flying J card (or one Professional Driver and one RV Driver card), will this change affect me?
No. It will only affect customers with multiple cards. However, you might have a lost, old, or forgotten card. In that case you may see a sudden bump in your points, shower credits, or coffee club balance when those are added into the household.
|
My card suddenly has a lot more points/showers/coffees than I thought I had. What happened?
This is probably due to all your cards (possibly even lost, old or forgotten cards) being added to the household. When this happens, the points, shower credits, and coffee club balance from all your cards are summed together into household balances that all the cards now share.
|
One of my cards that I haven’t used in a while suddenly has a much different balance than what I was expecting. What happened?
While unused cards do deplete points due to inactivity, this card may have been included in your household with your other cards. The points, shower credits, and coffee club balance would have then been summed across all your cards and this card is reflecting the new shared household values.
|
Can I still transfer points and shower credits between cards on your kiosks?
No. Because all your cards now share points, showers credits, and coffee club balances, there is no need to transfer them because all your cards will share this information. However, you will be able to add new cards to your household (if you lose your card for example). This will replace the transfer feature and cause the new card to reflect your existing household balances.

What do I do if my cards are now in one household, but I don’t want them set up that way?

No, the different card types will still operate the same as they have been even if they are in the same household.
